What can I draw for you?
I create custom portraits and illustrations from your photos - whether it’s your home, a church building, or cherished family member (pets included, of course)! I’ve worked on everything from portraits of families spread across the world to wedding illustrations that include loved ones who’ve passed away. I love capturing special places too, like your childhood home or that cosy café you love, where everybody knows your name.
Illustration is a great way to preserve memories and tell stories that photos just can’t capture. It might be a special gift, a family portrait, or something that reminds you of a special time or place. Whatever the subject, I’d be honoured to bring your ideas to life.
Price-list for Commissioned Portraits:
(These are the illustrations of people and animals. Scroll down for info about buildings and other subjects.)
Prices are worked out according to the number of subjects and the size of the portrait.
Portrait commissions are dispatched on average 2 weeks after ordering, but may take longer during busy periods (or if you’re not in a hurry).
A5 Size:
1 subject: £20
Add £5 per additional subject. (Maximum of 6 subjects per A5 portrait.)
Because A5 portraits look better together, I offer a multi-buy discount:
10% off when you order 3 A5 portraits
15% off when you order 4 or more A5 portraits
A4 Size:
1 subject: £30
Add £5 per additional subject.
A3 Size (minimum of 3 subjects)
3 subjects: £40
Add £5 per additional subject.
These prices exclude postage and packaging, which starts from £4 within the UK.
Add a high-res digital version of your illustration for £5 extra. This allows you to get it printed up to A3 size on cards, posters, etc. But do remember that the image remains my intellectual property and must not be used for monetary gain.
Other Commissioned Illustrations:
Because of the variety of subjects I could draw, prices for these illustrations are worked out individually. To give you an idea, however, here are a few examples:
A5 illustration of church building: £40
A4 illustration of café: £50
A5 illustration of cottage: £30

Payment & Revisions
Once we’ve agreed on the details and I’ve given you a quote, I’ll send an invoice for the full amount.
Payment is due by bank transfer within two weeks of the invoice date. (I’ll include all the bank details on the invoice.) If payment is late, I may need to charge a 5% monthly fee.
Each commission includes up to two rounds of changes at the sketch stage. This is the perfect time to request tweaks to poses, expressions, composition, colours etc. After that, if you'd like any more changes, I charge £5 per illustration to cover the extra work involved.
Once I’ve started work, if you decide to cancel the commission for any reason, I’ll refund 50% of the total fee. (This is to cover the time and effort I’ve already put in).
Revisions: What’s Included?
Each commission includes up to two rounds of revisions at the sketch stage.
This is your chance to request changes like:
Adjusting poses, clothing, facial expressions, or layout
Adding or removing an element (like a pet, a toy, a background detail, etc.)
Making things feel more ‘you’ - whether that’s more silly, more sentimental, or just more accurate! (Bearing in mind that this is a playful illustration, not a realistic portrait…)
As I said before, if you’d like more than two rounds of sketch revisions, I charge £5 per illustration for each extra round. (But two is usually enough.)
Once the final illustration has been drawn on paper and coloured, I can usually make small tweaks (like adding more hair or pinker cheeks or fixing a tiny detail), but major changes at this stage may require a full redraw, which will incur an extra charge.
